Aramid Fiber

Aramid fiber is high-strength yellow fiber made of aromatic polyamides. Its characteristics include excellent heat resistance, excellent dimensional stability, very low flammability, good resistance to organic solvents, excellent strength to weight ratio, excellent impact resistance, good fatigue strength, low creep and very high electrical insulation properties.

There are many different forms for aramid fiber: yarn, roving, pulp, chopped strand, milled , mat, tissue, woven roving, unidirectional  (UD), bi-directional (biaxial) and triaxial fibers.

Aramid fiber is used in manufacturing of composite materials, bulletproof vests, flame resistant clothings, airplane parts, tires and sporting goods.
